Eye is one of the smallest market towns in the country, tucked into north Suffolk just south of the Norfolk border near Diss. It is dominated by the tall flushwork tower of its medieval church, with the Norman castle mound and the timber-framed Guildhall close by, and much of the old town is listed or sits within a conservation area. Soft Suffolk brick, colourwashed render, clay pantile and the occasional run of thatch all sit side by side here, and each ages in its own way. Luke came out and inspected roof on the Thursday morning , by the afternoon we’d received a detailed report and quotation. By Tuesday we had scaffolding put up and by Wednesday evening we had a Complete new roof and all damage repaired.
