Bungay sits inside a great loop of the River Waveney, right on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, with the ruins of Bigod's Castle at its centre and the Common Lands running down to the water. Much of what you see in the town today went up after the fire of 1688, which is why so many of the frontages are Georgian, and why the roofs behind them are a run of clay pantile with parapet gutters and hidden valleys. It falls inside the NR postcodes, so despite being in Suffolk it is core territory for us.

Fast and efficient service, this must have been a one off? from quote to completion, including scaffolding 3 days. Inspection and quote on Wednesday, scaffold arrived Thursday and job started and finished on Friday. This was for new roof membrane, new battens cleaned and replaced tiles, as well as a complete new flat roof rubber covering and lagged loft as well for good measure. Left early Friday evening and apart from the skip of rubbish I would not have know they had been, all clean and tidy as promised. A big thank you to James and his crew for an excellent job.

We were very pleased with the work carried out by Prestige Roof Limited on our property In March 2026. They removed the old spray foam roof insulation, repairing timbers that had been damaged by it, retiling where needed and replacing the roof membrane and ridge tiles. They carried out this work in the time frame that they said they would. The crew was courteous and kept us informed of progress with numerous photos of the roof work, they also cleared up after themselves.
